Stove-top fire suppression.

Cooking is the number one cause of home fires, and most of them start on the stove when someone steps away for a minute. Stove-top fire suppression is a simple device that handles that exact scenario, automatically, even if no one is standing there. And they’re cheaper than you’d think for the peace of mind they offer.

How automatic suppression works

A small pair of canisters mount under the range hood, directly above the cooktop. If a fire breaks out and reaches it, the heat triggers the device and it drops a suppressant straight onto the burners, smothering the fire at the source. No button to press, no aiming, no being in the room. It buys time and can stop a grease fire before it spreads to the cabinets.

Who benefits most

It is a smart layer for anyone, and especially valuable in homes with older adults, children, busy families, or anyone who has ever left a pan unattended (which is all of us). It does not replace a kitchen extinguisher or a smoke alarm, it backs them up for the most common fire of all.
