Smoke alarm installation costs.

We believe you should see a price before you invite anyone into your home, so here is exactly what a visit costs. Most companies make you wait until a technician is standing in your living room. We would rather you know up front.

The service fee: $149

This covers your technician's expert work at the house, including the first 30 minutes of travel each way. It is the one fixed number on every job.

The travel fee: $25 for each 15 minutes

Most of the time our service fee covers all our travel, but the Phoenix metro is a big place, and if you live far enough out, we will include an upfront travel fee. It’s a fixed fee on your quote and won’t change, even if there’s traffic.

The alarms, installed

Our most popular hardwired alarms with 10-year battery backup run about $50 each for a smoke alarm and about $75 each for a combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarm, installed. Standard replaceable-battery models cost a little less, and specialty alarms (voice alerts, smart alarms, hearing-impaired units, for example) are quoted to fit. You only pay for the alarms your home actually needs, which depends on its size and layout.

What changes the price

Three things move the total: how many alarms your home needs, the type you choose, and whether your address is far enough out to add travel time.

See your estimate before you call

You do not have to guess. Our home estimator lets you slide in your details and see a ballpark in a few seconds, and every exact quote is put in writing before we schedule anything. No surprises, ever.

Can the price change once you’re at my house?

Your written quote is the price. It only changes if you decide to add work on the spot, or if something turns out different from how it was described, like the number of alarms. We will quote any change and get your approval before we begin the work.
